Mammoth Winter Biathlon 2011 is fast approaching!  This year's event will be filmed via helicopter in HD for airing on the Versus/Outdoor Channel in September 2011. This is an opportunity  to expose a national audience to Biathlon, Nordic skiing and Mammoth Lakes.

My vision for this year's race is that we create the energy and excitement of a European Nordic ski race here in the Eastern Sierra.

 A good old fashioned ski race cowbell can add to this energy.

200 Mammoth Winter Biathlon cowbells are on sale at Brian's XC Ski and Bike shop in Mammoth.  Cowbells come in four colors--white, red, orange, and yellow--and can be purchased for $10.  Fifty percent of net proceeds will be donated to Eastern Sierra Nordic Ski Association 501c3 to be directed towards Junior XC development programs.
